How do I know if my procedure is covered by my Prudential PRUShield plan?
Coverage depends on your specific plan tier (e.g., Premier, Plus, or Standard) and rider options. During your consultation, our team will look over your certificate of insurance, calculate a clear breakdown of estimated costs, and confirm your exact coverage before any treatment begins.
What is a Letter of Guarantee (LOG), and will I get one?
An LOG (Letter of Guarantee) is a document issued by Prudential to the hospital, indicating that eligible medical expenses will be covered up to the limits of your policy. As Dr Thng is a panel surgeon, our clinic can assist with the LOG application on your behalf, which may reduce the amount of upfront cash deposit required upon hospital admission.
How long does it take to process the insurance claim?
The pre-authorisation and LOG request usually take a few working days to clear once the surgical date is set. Following your surgery, the final claims processing between the hospital and Prudential typically takes several weeks, but this requires no action from you. Our clinic handles the paperwork directly.
Can I use my MediSave alongside my PRUShield plan?
